We have partnered up with an award winning, beautiful, and eclectic, food led pub on the Suffolk Coast on the hunt for a new Head Chef! The ideal candidate would be a real ‘foodie’ with a strong background in creating exciting menus using local suppliers and creating their own twist on the pub classics. You will inherit a great brigade of skilled junior chefs who are looking to develop their own career under a highly skilled head chef’s direction. We are seeking an ambitious individual who has a wide range of culinary skills which include butchery and pastry. You would be required to show an exceptional financial understanding of kitchen management and GP controls. The Responsibilities….
Full day to day management of the kitchen
Full menu creation
You must possess excellent culinary and presentation skills.
Managing a full kitchen team – briefing, supervising and motivating team members.
Great back-office knowledge when it comes to stock management, recruitment, training and development and other management duties.
Having the ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
